Cadburys set us a fantastic task this week to launch their biggest ever marketing campaign Spots V Stripes! When I heard the task I immediately began to smile as I knew it was right up my street, arrange a family event in a local community! Finally something I could really sink my teeth into!

Michelle appointed me as sub-pm and as event manager for the day! To be honest the sub-pm position appointment was pointless as I knew I would never at any stage have to put Barry in his place. We work very well together, and as being roomies at home we understand each other. We took on that town with the attitude, "leave no stone unturned" - and that is exactly what we did. We got out on the streets, found EVERY key.community person to spread the word. We went as far as getting the event announced at mass in both churches.

Once we were confident that we had created enough awareness, the task was now on to put on a show and what a show we pulled together. From modern Irish dancers, to facepainters to horse rides to even a wedding showing up! To be honest, Cadburys summation of "it was going from a wedding to a funeral" probably was spot on, having seen the show we kicked their ass!!!!

One thing I'd like to clear about the event is the stick I got about not using radio, just for the record I had two radio station reporters at the event where I was interviewed to spread awareness via live links to the radio stations. Frustrating but I spose they have to create tv!!

So Negate got the bullet from Bill then in the boardroom, again all I can comment on is what I saw on the show but to be honest i think all three could have gone. Having worked with Nagaite for the two weeks previous, to be honest I found her difficult. Lovely outside of work but tough during tasks. So I think Bill got it right!

Be sure to tune in week down at the East Village next week, where it really heats up when we are tasked to create a Viral Video for Appleby Jewelers! Not to be missed!
